Welcome!

Welcome and happy summer!  It’s been a busy few months for the New Mexico Simon Scholars Program. Our high school seniors graduated and will be headed off to college in the fall; we had many college students graduate and join our fantastic alumni group; and we accepted our newest class of scholars into the program, the high school class of 2021.

In this issue, we’re pleased to feature an interview with our High School Program Coordinator Janeth Santos. Janeth brings a unique perspective as a staff member as she is also a Simon Scholar Alumni!  We’re also happy to share some photos from our recent graduations and celebrations.  Enjoy!

– Anissa Evans, Scholarship Program Manager

In Focus: Janeth Santos

On May 15th we sat down with Janeth Santos to learn more about her unique experience with the New Mexico Simon Scholars. Among many accomplishments Janeth is a program Alumna, served as an Alumni Association board member, and currently works on staff  as the High School Program Coordinator. She is deeply passionate about her work to support disadvantaged students in achieving their educational goals.
